GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will
be responsible for continued implementation and maintenance of the Bald Mountain Mine Environmental Management System (EMS), as well as, provide support in environmental regulatory compliance; prepare communication and training materials, maintenance of the EMS requirements within the electronic platform (RIMS), and have full involvement in audit activities related to the EMS; provide training for site environmental personnel where necessary; conduct environmental field work; provide oversight of contractors/consultants, document/report preparation, and management of special projects; provide support to other sites and operational units as needed and will cooperate and contribute to the overall success of Barrick Bald Mountain; and perform other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Bachelor or Associate of Science Degree or certificate in Science, Engineering, or Natural Resources related field preferred
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others required
• Previous experience with ISO 14001 and Environmental Management Systems strongly preferred
• Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required
• Experience with Barrick systems—RIMS, LiveLink, Oracle, and EQuis strongly preferred
• Previous experience with environmental programs including regulatory compliance, air quality, water quality, geochemistry, hydrology, and cultural resources preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with various levels of employees required
• Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others required
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously required
• Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time-sensitive deadlines required
• Proven ability to perform all essential functions of this position required
